2022 NHD New Mexico State Contest

The 2022 New Mexico State Contest is Virtual

Registration is now open. It closes Thursday, March 24, and teachers and students will have Friday, March 25, as a trouble shooting day. Judging will take place March 28-April 8. A virtual awards ceremony will take place Sunday, April 2, at 2 p.m.

Entry Fees

Registration fees are $15 per student for the regional contests and $25 per student for the state contest. You can pay through the registration system, by check, cash or purchase order, or via our PayPal link.

Generating invoices at registration

For the National contest you pay the fees directly to NHD.

If you pay by PayPal, we collect a small service charge. If you pay by check, please make checks out to New Mexico Humanities Council or NMHC and send payment to:

Protecting Children's Privacy

When it comes time to register for contests, please be aware that students younger than 13 can NOT give consent to share their information. Please be sure that parents give consent during the registration process, either by assisting with registration or by providing a signed permission slip.
